Erica, the owner, will share some of the meaningful stories behind Elliot’s diverse collection, featuring over 100 artists and makers. Taste a sampling of artisan chocolate and Canadian-made craft beverages, admire a locally hand-drawn mural, and bring home a little bag of goodies.
Next, discover the heart of local craftsmanship at 7 Rivers Trading Co., Downtown Medicine Hat’s destination for thoughtfully curated souvenirs and prairie-inspired treasures. You will meet owner Sarah, savour a tasting of locally crafted preserves and treats, and leave with a beautifully designed keepsake that captures the spirit of the region.
A few doors down, Blair and Lynae, owners of GRUP Vintage Denim, will take you behind the scenes of their shop and creative process. Expect to see some jeans that *might* be older than you are. Watch the art of Japanese Sashiko hand-stitching and learn about its origins. Maybe you’ll want to try it for yourself or take the chance to learn your own measurements for easy vintage shopping anywhere you go.
Finish with a delicious lunch at note: comfort food + drink. Enjoy a fresh, locally-sourced meal made from scratch with love. Owner Miranda will also provide insight into her curation of local art and music, and her vision to foster community through her business.
